In regards to the gas stations, there is a mod out there that tells you how much the gas pump has when you're pumping it (I forgot what the mod is called). It's a randomly generated number but each gas station typically has something like 10,000+ units of gas.Gas doesn’t go sour in game tho, even tho it does IRL. The amount of gas in the many gas stations thruout the map is absolutely gigantic even with many people playing a game. Plus scarcity of resources is one of the driving forces for what makes the game interesting and fun.

Gas does not respawn, but if you are running low on it, place a generator at a gas station and turn it on when you need to fuel up. It is a big difference from siphoning out of random wrecks.
